Super Mario Kart unlocking session

I purchased Super Mario Kart on the Wii's Virtua Console last night. Tonight I had some time to play the game, so I spent about an hour trying to get first in everything. Here's the session:

From the WTF Files, Mario Kart 7 appears to come included with a wheel attachment, similar to what was for Mario Kart Wii.

This thing is ugly.



Most of the time, I'm not sure what I would be thinking, but I already know. This thing is going to be terrible, and I won't be using it. It appears as though the game will also indicate whether someone is using the wheel.

Nintendo gets hype

On Twitter earlier this morning, Nintendo posted this new screenshot of Mario Kart 7:


I'm not sure what to take from this other than it's just another screen shot. It does show that there is an option on that course to jump off of two different places.
